New Delhi, February 11(KMS): Rich tributes were paid to the memory of the martyred Kashmiri leader Maqbool Butt on his 20th death anniversary in New Delhi today, at a high congregation organized by Jammu Kashmir Democratic Front (JKDF) under the chairmanship of Pandit Bhushan Bazaz. Leaders of JKDF, eminent personalities highlighted the brilliances of shaheed Maqbool Butt and said his sacrifices not only reinforced the Kashmiri passion for freedom but gave a new orientation to the movement. Speaking on the occasion president of the JKDF Pandit Bhushan Bazaz said that Kashmiri youth have been following the footsteps of Maqbool Butt and so far thousands of youth have laid down their lives for the freedom of Kashmir. He said that Maqbool's sacrifice gives us strength to fight for the cause of right to self-determination and people of Jammu and Kashmir have offered unprecedented sacrifices is this regards. |
